Yep. Mostly we don’t say it. We want to be seen to have unconditional love. To love them all equally irrespective of what they do and how they make you feel. But let’s be honest. We tend to like one just a little bit more than another don’t we?
The first two were amazing. I didn’t think I could get better. Do better. But you never know what’s around the corner. What the Universe will provide. I would say this new baby was not just 9 months of cooking, it was 48 years of making.
Yep I’m talking about my third book, Flawsome: The journey to being whole is learning to be holey. That’s what you thought this was about right?! It’s my absolute fav. It might seem arrogant to say it’s amazeballs but I do love it. I have poured my heart and soul in to this one. I have not held back. There’s a lot of transparency, vulnerability and hopefully for you – empowerment to be exactly who you are. To make peace with that and even love all your bits. Including all the newly adopted ones you’ve gained in ISO.
You see my journey (yep I used the word ‘journey’ ;-)) found me in a place where I became the expert on designing feedback cultures for workplaces. Yet the thing I have increasingly realised is that the feedback you give yourself affects how you speak, relate and connect with others. It starts with YOU! And we are generally pretty frickin’ poor at how we speak to ourselves. Once we get that right, it’s a game changer.
Right now, how we relate to ourselves has never been more important. We need to learn to be kind to ourselves. Then we can do the same for others.
To get your hot little hands on a copy of my best baby yet – Flawsome organise your pre-sale copy through Booktopia or Dymocks NOW! Then as soon as it comes out of the printers it will be yours. Hopefully it will become one of your favs too. It’s ok. I won’t judge 😉
